This is my 1st time doing a solo LSD on a Sunday morning. I have always wanted to try out this route but always dropped off half way thru.

Kembangan -> Changi Beach
On a cozy Sunday morning, I took the 7am train to Kembangan and started off my solo journey. Thru Siglap park connector right till the tennis court at ECP, approx 2.5km. I didn’t bother to look at all the distance marking but have done a mapping before that. The whole journey is approximately 20.2km. A beautiful Sunday morning indeed. Cloudy and windy. Not many runners as I would have expect. There are more cyclist instead. As I run along, I passes by all the landmark that everyone mentioned about in forum and all along I have no clue where is it. The Sailing club, the golf course, safra resort….etc. Finally, I know where are all these places

Having the MP3 really makes the task easier, at least it draws my attention away. Saw some familiar faces, safra TM runners. The journey was pretty satisfying. There was no pressure and it was an LSD, so the pace is pretty comfortable for me. Finally come to the end of ECP, I saw some runners going thru a small lane. Followed them closely and saw the sign board “Changi Beach Park”. Ok. I’m at the right path. Just go along the way. Wah…… It was soooo ulu like the Chinese saying “Bird also dun lay eggs here”. Ya… the surrounding wasn’t well developed and it was pretty desserted. For a second, I’m wondering if it’s safe for a lady to do a solo run here. Hmm….definitely not when it is dark. That stretch was about 1.5km? Not long after, I finally came to the main road….. the 7.7km demoralizing coastal road. Haha…..it’s not as demoralizing as I thought. The good weather probably plays a part. The sky started to turn a little dark and it’s getting more and more windy. 400m more to go before I reach Changi Beach. And it started to pour!!!!!!!!!! I quickly ran to the near by shelter which is just big enough to fit me in. Looking at raindrops listening to MP3....felt kind of peaceful actually...haha....20mins past, the rain stops...I continued my journey but it was down to a strolling pace.... It was still windy and chilly. Oh well..... regardless, I'm glad to have completed this solo journey...
