The extreme weather

on Monday, January 23, 2006

If you have been following the news on global weather, you'll notice that those that are in winter now, is colder than ever whereas those in summer, is hotter than it was before. Even in Singapore itself, you'll see thunderstorm at one end and sunlight at the other end of the island at one time. As I'm talking to my Russian colleague who is in town couple of days ago, he mentioned that his colleague back in Russia now, is living in a -35C environment. The extreme of this -35C is that it is not snowing. It's ICY!! Ice everywhere! Imagine everything you touch is cold, imagine living in a refrigerator - a super cold refrigerator instead. I seriously could not imagine that though I've been to places like -5 the max I think. But I think it's not fun at all lah.... So cold....cannot do anything right?

And you know what.........according to the Russian government, all workers are entitled to 28 days of leave per year. 28 days!!! I'll probably take leave during these cold weather and better to hibernate at home lah.

What say u??

Rain and rain.......

on Thursday, January 12, 2006

EVERYDAY RAIN…….day in day out rain…..It has been such a cold week in Singapore I tell you…………….. Yeah…it’s comfortable but……….it’s cold loh. Good thing for sure is it definitely helps to save my electricity bill this month..yay :) For the first time in local weather, I’m sleeping in long pants without air-con without fan, WITH blanket up till the neck!!
It’s worst than ever in the office. My finger is soooooo cold I can hardly feel it. Funny thing is I have a Japanese colleague in town who thought he could get away from the cold in Japan and have some warm weather here only to find that the office here is as cold as in Japan's weatherHmm…….was wondering if there’s anywhere that sells portable heater here…haha…not to exaggerate but……if this goes on…..I’ll probably need one :)

New Year Resolution?

on Sunday, January 01, 2006

How does this thing call "New Year Resolution" come about? Nah....to me, you really do not need to wait till new year to have a new resolution right? It's probably a reason for you to escape and delay your "resolution" haha....At least that implies to me :) My so call new year resolution has never worked out after all these years...haha....STOP guessing!! I shall keep you update if it really happens....

While people are all out there admiring the fireworks and counting down to the new year, I had my own way of counting down too. I............ I.........was catching up on a HK TVB series when the clock strike 12am. Yeah yeah....it was kind of bored you may say.....but this series - Golden Faith I just can't stop when I started the 1st episode. It's not a new series but who cares......I like the lead actor...So charming :) I like I like...

Good looking lead actor, pretty actress, perfect couple, nice music..etc..etc....and this is another show that make me shed tears like crazy....hahaha...so silly hor.... but I just like like....heheheI'm a all time fans for TVB series which is the reason why I'm NOT subscribing to SCV cable. Else, I'll be sitting in front of the TV day in day out and won't have other life, which is what is happening in the last one week. Yeah, I completed the 45 series in 1 week! Highest record - 9 hours in a day!!

Multinational department (MND)

Some of you may be aware that I've just switched to work in another company few weeks ago. While I'm still happy and feel contented about my new job, there's also something which I just realized. Not only I'm working in a MNC, I'm also in a MND. My boss is an Australia and my 3 other colleagues at work comprises of 1 Singaporean, 1 chinese US citizen, 1 Russian and me a Malaysian. Another colleague which I'll be working closely with and reporting to the same boss, is in Japan. Yeah....He's a Japs.

That alone, give me lesser chance to speak "sing-lish", which in turn....dun feel so homely loh. Or perhaps.....maybe I'll continue my singlish with them since they are now residing in Singapore hor!!
